With the aim of inspiring riders to leave the trail centre behind and get out into the larger scenery this amazing island has to offer Peak to Park takes a look at where mountain biking once was to where it is now

This is a journey that will see Clive Forth cover over 100km by bike ascending 4600m! With 720km of driving to link the rides its a battle against the clock to complete the journey within 24 hours

The controversial subject of trail centre riding vs riding “natural” trails is confronted head on in a 24 hour road trip as Clive summits Britain’s three highest peaks riding a lap of the nearest trail centre to each peak strait after!

To add to the challenge unlike the classic ‘North to South’ route taken by walkers Clive will be starting out in Wales riding Snowdon before heading North via the Lakes and Helvellyn then on up through Scotland to Ben Nevis

The running order:

Betws y Coed - Gwyder Forest Marin Trail

Helvellyn (Scafell does not have permissive paths for bikes)
Whinlatter Forest - Altura Trail

Ben Nevis
Nevis Range - Witches trail World Cup xc circuit

Alongside Clive doing the driving will be a professional driver, obviously its not safe to be awake for over 24 hours and drive a motor vehicle, let alone after riding each leg of the journey!

Driver and brother Kevin is a HGV driver trainer for Maritime, one of Britain’s largest haulage companies, the perfect partner for a long trip and a man who can deliver at the wheel.
